Dr Douglas Wilson's biography

Dr Douglas Wilson qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, 1979.
He worked as an Intern in the Large Animal Clinic at Cornell University, and in Springville Animal Hospital in USA. He completed a short course in Equine Reproduction and Artificial Insemination at Colorado State University in 1981.
Dr Wilson returned to Scotland and worked in private practice for 3 years before studying for a PhD at the University of Glasgow.
After migrating to Australia in 1988, Doulgas worked in private practice and as a Senior Research Scientist. He was admitted as a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists by examination in 1992.
Douglas realises that there are limitations to conventional veterinary treatment. He has been using homeopathy and treating animals with a holistic approach since 1990. Dr Wilson opened The Holistic Veterinary Clinic in 1998. This was the first veterinary clinic in Australia to use the term 'holistic' in its name.
He was accepted as a veterinary member of the Faculty of Homeopathy (London) in 2005 and holds a Certificate from the International Association for Veterinary Homeopathy.
Dr Wilson is a tutor with the Homeopathic Professionals Teaching Group (HPTG) based in Oxford, England. He established and coordinates the Australasian Course in Veterinary Homeopathy. This course prepares candidates to sit examinations for membership of the Faculty of Homeopathy (London). He teaches and lectures in Australia, New Zealand, India and several other overseas countries.
